North Yard Mechanisms

Welcome to the Northyard/AR Kits Mechanisms order page. The range of mechanisms have been around for some time and have really been flying under the radar by the Australian modelling fraternity. The range of mechs will grow over time and will provide the Australian modeller with a family of mechs that will be able to replace mechs for any diesel locomotive that has been produced for the Australian market over the past 60 years.

The mechs will be produced in three variants.

1. Basic. This is a plain mech that includes motor with drives, baseplate and power bogies with two side frame mounting pins already attached. Price: $180.00.
2. Basic Plus. This is the same as above but comes with fuel tank, side frames as well. Price: $195.00.
3. Premium. This is the combination of “b” plus the mech is fitted with flywheels. Price: $215.00.

The mechs do not come DCC ready but are suitable for hard wiring as the motor is insulated from the chassis. Remember these chassis are twelve or eight wheel drive and twelve or eight wheel pickup. Both gearbox side plates are live. The units come with a twelve month warranty and a full warranty against design faults. They meet the strict AR Kits spare parts regime of being able to provide spares for many years to come.

Download your order form, save it, then open the saved form using Microsoft Excel.

This file is an Excel macro-enabled worksheet and may ask your permission to "Enable Editing". You will also receive a security warning to "Enable Content". These and any other unexpected warnings should be accepted.

Simply add your Name | Company and Contact Details then place your chosen quantities into the light blue cells. The sheet will automatically calculate your Total Value. Click on the "Show Ordered" button to minimise your order. Click on the "Email Order" button to send your order.

The "Email Order" button should in most instances create a "draft" email in your default email client application with AR Kits email address set and your completed spreadsheet as an attachement. The button does not automatically send the order. That is the responsibility of your email client software. Should the "Email Order" button not work at all - simply save your modified spreadsheet and send it as an attachment in an email to info@arkits.com using your own email client software.

When stock is available AR Kits will call you to confirm your order and find out your preferred method of payment.
